China Dolls, Tales and Tea: Thursday in Hangzhou, Snake and a drunk Miss Guo!

Thursday Morning... I slept the whole journey to the office! I think the month has now started to catch up on me, and I am feeling very tired! Could do with one day in bed! Mr Chen comes to see us, and tells us we need to have our collection finished by the end of the day! Panic, as I still have a million changes to finish from the previous day! And we are also meant to be going out with Miss Guo again for dinner with an old work friend of hers!! I was hoping we wouldn’t have to leave early! Mr Chen said he wanted our collection finished so we could choose fabric and start samples!!
They forgot to ask if we wanted dinner, and the whole office ate lunch without us!! A very sad time, I was super hungry! So oreo’s it was!! Well until I ate them and asked Jocelyn why we didn’t have any lunch!! Joseph then returned with a KFC for us, as a treat! I was very happy that he had done that for us!!

4.30pm and we have to leave to go and have dinner with Miss Guo, the driver takes us! When we arrive at the hotel, a different one to the night before, there are like so many people in this one room!! Turns out they are all having dinner with us! Must be family of her work friends, or something! Well considering we didn’t want to go again, we had such a good evening! I think we kept them amused as well, they thought it was hilarious when I put on a plastic glove that had been put on my place setting! Apparently you are only meant to wear it for eating, I didn't know what possibly I would be eating for me to wear this until they put some giants bird foot infront of me!! GRIM!! a Gang Bei (cheers) was the saying of the evening although it only seemed like me and Laura were following the rule of necking the drink, which seemed to amuse them, as they kept filling our glasses to the top and saying it over and over again!! Laura is much better at drinking beer than me, I struggled to drink a full glass at once!

Well, we thought we were the only ones following the rule, until we left the restaurant, and Miss Guo didn’t drive us home, the driver came to pick us up! Turns our Miss Guo was hammered!! We had the best journey to her home, her english is better when she is drunk!! Apparently she was ‘happy very much’ and ‘falling very much’ she managed to tell us she drank too much alcohol!! Oh Christ!! Hope they don’t think we are a bad influence on her, she is our boss at work!!
We got back to her home, I have no idea how we will get to the company in the morning as her car is still there, she was in no fit state to drive us home! Ooopsie!! Still, it didn’t stop her downing a glass of our beer when we got back!! Crazy lady!!

OH yes!! Also at dinner, I ATE SNAKE!!!! Yes me, snake!! it was a snake on a plate cut up, with its skin still on and all crispy looking!! It tasted a little like chicken mixed with the fat of bacon! I am so proud of myself for eating it as, christ turns out in China I am a super fussy eater!! I will not order it off a menu, wasn’t that nice but at least I can say I have tried it!! Oh and another thing, they produced some sort of birds foot, I have no idea what bird it was, but it was bloody massive, like filled a plate! And we had one each! Grim!! Mine was shoved right away, wasn’t having that gross thing winking at me, when I was trying to eat my snake and egg fried rice!! ha!! I have pictures to prove this is the sort of weird stuff they eat!! We have been told, they will eat anythin from the sea, sky and land, just not humans! Well thats good to know I suppose!!

Snake can you believe it.... I ATE SNAKE!!! Anyway after we get a drunk Miss Guo upstairs, (I’m kidding she wasn’t that bad) it was bed for me too!
