Wednesday, morning, alarm 6am, disgusting (we decided to take the extra hour in bed and quickly get ready) I have never felt so tired! Ever!! Back on the bus to Hangzhou excellent!! Defo time for a snooze, I was sleeping quite happily until the moron on the seat in front of me decided to push his seat right back, so I could literally see up his nose! After a few attempts of trying to tell him to lift his chair up, Laura just shoved it right up straight! The Chinese can be a little ignorant some times! I mean, when I did wake up my chair was pushed back but not intentionally I had a broken seat, so every time I leant back on my chair it fell right back, bet the guy behind me was impressed with me apologising every time I leant back!
When we arrived at the bus station we phoned the company to see if we had a driver to pick us up, a little a confusing when they sounded surprised we was even coming this week! Maybe another lost in translation moment, anyway they sent the driver,. We hoped it was the driver anyway, we didn’t recognise any one who came to pick us up, but they put our stuff in the boot and we got in, this sort of stuff just wouldn’t happen in England!! Would I really get into a strangers car, NO, but in China its ok!! The confusion only carried on at the company as when we walked into our office, the look on the guys faces said it all, no one at the company knew we was coming, not even Miss Guo, who we stay with knew we was coming! Really odd, as we go every Wednesday!
The work at the company was the same, we had to change a few things but apart from that just a normal day at the office!! Other than Miss Guo told us we was leaving at 4.30 to have dinner with her husband and brother, not what ideally I wanted to do, but I suppose there wasn't much choice in the matter, with the language barrier and not wanting to cause her any offense we just did as she said! And to be honest it was that bad! We was stuck on traffic for 2 hours though, which again is pretty rubbish when you need the toilet! The place they took us to eat, a hotel called Zhangxiang Gong Fang, it was super posh, they had ordered us the food they know we like and beer!!We had beef with sugar snap peas, steak, chips and egg fried rice! So we soon perked up! The food was really nice and I had quite a nice evening! They caught us some chinese words, such as beer= Pi Jui, your welcome= Bu Yong Xie, Fries= Shu tiao, they seem to like teaching us chinese!! Oh and cheers which is Gang Bei, which basically means drink everything in your glass at once!!!
When we arrived back at Miss Guo’s home it was straight to bed! Exhausted was not the word!!
