WOW! few crazy days in China!!

So the teaching fashion design on Tuesday was an experience!! 4 hour class with a teacher that didnt speak a word of english was interesting to say the least! I just sat at the front like a right dork why they discussed homework, the way they teach is a little crazy! The students are set homework, but then are allowed to do it in class??? They all wanted to see my work and how we do it in England, but then they wanted my advice on how to improve their work and get it to look like mine, as the teaching is so different here, and they are just taught to copy from magazines and from other designers work, I did struggle as they had no concept, research and any ideas of their own.
I spoke to 2 girls Dora and Lydia who told me, they are not allowed to do what they want, they are told what they need to design and what it should include, like the homework set for them in my class, on Tuesday was to design a wedding dress and a casual outfit but they needed to include animals or flowers, when I asked lydia, what she would look at to give her inspiration, she already had a picture on her phone of a flower wedding dress she was going to copy. I tried to give her some designers to look at, but as the internet is so restricted its very hard for them to do any real research. I feel sorry that they believe they have no imagination or any ideas but they aren't given the opportunity to let them have an imagination. Next week I have a different teacher, who speaks very good English so I will probably be able to help more with the class!
After class Dora and Lydia wanted to take me for some dinner before my next class at 6pm! O they are just so sweet they offered to carry my bag, as it was stupidly heavy! Chicken Burger and chips for like the 18th time since being here! it tastes just like KFC mini fillet, so this is good, considering the food is really random! Dora and Lydia are taking us to Tyiani Square in Ningbo on Sunday to do some shopping, I think we will take them to the Mexican Restaurant in Lao waitan, to see if they like it! It is my favourite so far!

6PM...... English class, with 4 , 6 year olds! Oh MY!!!! This was the hardest thing I have ever had to do in all my life, and for someone who wasnt sure on children, shit this has sealed the deal! 2 hours of head shoulders, knees and toes is enough to make a nun swear! One boy, told me his name was Jackie as in Jackie Chan! Pure Lies!!! "Jackie" made pig noises for 2 hours and just rolled of his chair!

7PM..... is it time to leave yet!??? I was exhausted of trying to control these crazy children! at point they just all lay screaming on the floor!! I did manage to teach them the whole song but for how long they will remember it is beyond me!!

7.30PM.... thats it Ive had enough and the class ends!! I tell the parents that 2 hours is too long, and maybe we should only do it for an hour!! Pass me the beer!! Thankfully Laura had stuck some in the fridge for me!! Beer Shower Bed! Placement in the morning, which includes a 3 hour bus journey to HangZhou!!
