First day in Shanghai!!

After having around 4 hours sleep in the last 2 days, and a man bbq'in outside the hotel all night,   a 9 am pick up was just not what i needed! although on the plus side we did watch a man wash himself and hair under a tree with a bowl of water, odd to say the least! Ton Ton, a teacher from the fashion college in Ningbo arrived at 10am in the bus for a 3 hour drive from Shanghai to Ningbo! Stopped for a break and food at some express diner! The toilets, well a hole in the floor was an experience, but i recommend to only do this with hunter wellies on!! They are a must!! Pee everywhere! The food left a lot to be desired! Boiled rice with a chicken leg and mini eggs, as ton ton put it 'eggs from some bird i dont know'! Super!! The people were comical, staring and gawping, suppose i better get used to this! it really amazes me that chinese people actually haven't seen 'people like you' other than on the TV. We crossed one of the longest sea bridges in the world! Hangzhou Bay Bridge, 20 miles long, pretty amazing! We arrived at Ningbo school, dragged our ridiculously heavy bags up 5 flight of stairs before heading off for a meeting with Jasmine (head of fashion school) to find out our placements and hat exactly we will be doing whilst we are in china! nerves are now kicking in!!
