Ah yes I didn't have to go to Hangzhou this week, but Jasmine had other things lined up for us, of course no days off here!! We had to be at Jasmines office for 10am to discuss placement and what they wanted us to do, it all became a little clearer after Jasmine showed us some of her work she had done for our company as well!! I know have to do some work ready to show my boss Mr Chen for Thursday, when he comes to the school!
So that was for an hour or so, and then I had another meeting at 3pm with out tutors about some work I have to do for them.... when I have time to do all this work is beyond me! Tea I had in the canteen, beef and green peppers with egg fried rice! Shocka!! But I needed an early night, pjs on for 7pm, after a freezing cold shower! If the sun isn't shining there is NO hot water! I needed to wash my hair too, which was a right bummer, at one point I thought I was going to get pneumonia it was just too cold!!
I was in bed so early, Laura has some how managed to get me into Made in Chelsea, we watched the first one of the new series I am not sure what series is it never seen it before, but I did enjoy it! So this was Wednesday, pretty quiet day to be honest, it was actually nice being able to chill in bed and do work in the afternoon!
Oh yes also tried my first bit of Chinese medicine, a treacle toffee like liquid, herbal obvs, actually really nice, to soothe my throat, Jasmine couldn't seam to understand, that I like it, I think she thought i was bonkers!
Another early start, well had to meet Jasmine again at 10am to wait for Mr Chen, but he didn't turn up so she sent us away again, to do work for him to show on Friday! My intentions were good to have a productive day and I did do some, but then I found The Voice on tvlinks.com so I kind of watched that for three hours! Oh shit! On the plus side Mexican food tea!! I was just too excited about this!
4pm... Jasmine calls, Mr Chen is on his way and wants to take us for dinner! No!! Just no! I needed some normal food. Which by the way was just plain amazing! But we had to meet the for Chinese tea, in a tea house, kind of sweet! Until she produced chickens feet (or as she calls them a chickens paw) and wanted me to eat them??? Another firm NO! She must think I only ever say no to her, but I couldn't, I just couldn't eat them! Laura on the other hand dived straight in and had one.... GRIM to say the least, I couldn't watch her nibble on a claw from a chicken, I was actually retching, at I point I thought I was going to have to leave the table! I did take a picture to show you all, that this part of a chicken should not be eaten!
We had a bit of confusion with Jasmine over the May Holiday, which is the Sunday 29th April- May 1st! We are going to Shanghai that weekend, as we are desperate to see it and I don't think we would have time at the end of placement, so because we are all free on Saturday 28th, we decided to go early that morning, however we were failed to be told that the classes that should be on the 30th, are moved to the Saturday before, because they are not allowed to have a four day break! So in theory they have to make up the may holiday on the weekend before! really really strange! So now we can only go to Shanghai on the Saturday night, a little disappointing but what can we do! Drama over, no point getting mad about it, its done! And we still get to have 3 nights and 3 days there! Thursday done... Beer and Bed!!
O wow what a horrific sleep, my sleep talking seems to be getting worse as the weeks go on and has now evolved in to sleep walking, at one point I was stood over Laura telling her to shut the door! really weird! I am waking up so tired, like I haven't been to sleep at all!
And we have to meet Mr Chen at 9am! I am unsure why, but we do!
Because I have a sore throat and Laura has got a cold, the are just throwing medicine at us left right and centre, with the odd mention to hosptial, today we arrived and they brought us some tablets and some powder thing. We hold off taking them till we know exactly what they are, erm which turns out a pretty good idea, as the tablets are penicillin, and well I am allergic to penicillin, so that could of been a bad disaster! So now we just don't take anything they give us!
we also have had a seminar today with some high up industry people, it was all in Chinese so I have no idea what they were taking about! Jasmine let us leave half way through, as she didn't know how to translate what they were saying, to be honest she prob got sick of me asking 'what are they saying?' I did meet some good contacts though, a guy from a company we have worked with at Uni, called Guangyuan Textile company, they make all natural fabrics, like from milk and bamboo shoots! He has asked us to go his company, hopefully get some freebies, and also, met a man from a hat and bag company, who has buyers coming from George (ASDA) tomorrow morning to meet with his designers! Who by the way, me and Laura are now modelling for on morning morning! Another interesting day I imagine if the last one is anything to go by! Extra money though so I'm not complaining!
Tea tonight, is a steak house some where in Ningbo, I could murder a steak and chips, peppercorn sauce! I hope I can find this to eat! Oh and to top it off a lie in tomorrow!
Chinese medicine! herbal only!
Chickens feet! GRIM
