Final Day in placement for week 1!

Ah its the last day for this week, and I am just too excited to get back, not because I haven't enjoyed being here but I need a mattress back in my life! The beds are insane! My back actually aches today! I am still trying to figure out what they want from us, we kind of get that they don't want our designs but I cant get used to copying everything, its so strange that they aren't opened to new ideas!
I designed part of a 'family' today but because it wasn't copied either from something they have done last year or from someone else, it wasn't considered good, so I suppose they can't really call themselves designers....

This is what i designed, I chose the colours and style etc, I ignored the boss, as Joseph said, and carried on, I found a print and traced over it so it was different as in China this is acceptable and all they want us to do, but again I failed as they said the print wasn't bright enough and there wasn't any text on it?? according to them the customer only likes big prints and lots of text... I had to disagree i thought mine was better than what they was doing, I dont think parents want to buy the kids the same clothes just in different colours but oh well back to the drawing board it is....

I tried again.... still because there was no text or other prints slapped all over it they didnt like it...

I have officially given up for the day.... 5pm cant come quick enough.... i need to get back now!! Maybe next week I will feel more able to just copy everything else! On the plus side, next week they have said they will take us shopping and to visit West Lake which would be pretty amazing!! We've also been invited out for dinner with the designers and shopping in the evening with Jocelyn, so next week maybe a better week!! Oh and I defo need to do something about the beds! I think I might have to ask if they can get me a mattress!We leave at 5pm to get the coach back to Ningbo... the coach station was an opportunity in its self.... people staring and filming us, Laura got her camera out and started to take pictures of them, they soon put them away! ha! finally we have found something that will stop them taking pictures of us1 Its a really weird feeling. 6.22pm the coach leaves within minutes I am asleep! Finally back in Ningbo around 8.15, and the other girls have got us some beer in to help us relax after the day we've had!! I must have an early night as I have a full day of modelling tomorrow that we have been roped in to doing! i cant complain as I get paid 1000rmb! so I've got more money now than what i came out with! Which is definitely not like me!! I will have to update you on how the modelling goes! Fingers crossed its going to be nothing to stupid!
